Athene (athene-login.hpc.fau.edu)
Several versions of Matlab are available on Athene. To check which versions are available, please use the command ‘module avail matlab’ in a terminal on Athene. To use Matlab, please use the following commands:
- Visit https://athene-ondemand.hpc.fau.edu.
- Login
- Click Interactive Apps
- Click MATLAB
- Select your preferred version of MATLAB from the drop-down.
- Specify the number of hours 1 - 6 for the default queue.
- Specify the number of GB of memory required. 16G is recommended to start.
- Specify the number of CPU cores required. 4 cores is recommended to start.
- Unless you require a GPU leave the node type as any.
- Click launch to start your job.
- Your job will be in queue until it is allocated a compute node.
- When a compute node is allocated, the job will start and when ready the "Launch MATLAB" button will activate.
When clicked, a remote session will be started in your browser.
