In order to properly connect a hotspot device to VPN (FortiClient) please follow the steps below:
Obtain IP Address in Command Prompt
- Open the command prompt application
- Enter nslookup vpnboca.fau.edu in your terminal
- Press Enter
- Locate the IP address for vpnboca.fau.edu (shown below hightlighted)
Add the new connection within the FortiClient Application Do not delete previous connection
- Open the FortiClient Console
- Select the three lines
- Click on add new connection
- Enter Connection Name: Boca VPN Hotspot
- Remote Gateway: IP address obtained above
- Enable "Single Sign On (SSO) for VPN Tunnel"
- Enable "Use external browser as user-agent for saml user authentication"
