The Office of Information Technology provides various Cisco IP phone models with enhanced security features for faculty and staff, with usage guides available based on model and location.

The Office of Information Technology (OIT) offers different desktop telephone models for faculty and staff. Some of these models are only available in certain buildings or campuses. Please refer to the appropriate reference guide for instructions on how to use the different telephone models available at the university.

 

Cisco VoIP Telephones

The Office of Information Technology (OIT) has implemented the 7800 and 8800 Cisco IP phone series. These telephone models include many enhanced security options, such as the Secure Hash Algorithm (SHA) 2 family, which provides stronger cryptographic hash properties.
