Home directory not found

Learn how to fix the "Home directory not found" error message when accessing OnDemand.

Users may see the following error message when accessing OnDemand:

This occurs when your home directory has not yet been created for the cluster. Please complete the following steps to create your home directory:

1. On your computer, open Command Prompt or Terminal and run the following command.
   Be sure to replace NETID with your Net ID:
   ssh NETID@athene-login.hpc.fau.edu
2. Sign in with your HPC password. If you forgot your HPC password, please reset it using the following tool:
   https://access.hpc.fau.edu/rc
3. Accept the Duo Mobile multi-factor authentication (MFA) sent to your phone.
4. Once signed in your Terminal should read like the following. Your home directory is now created:
   
5. Enter exit to sign out.
6. Try accessing OnDemand again. You will now be able to access the site.
