What is Qualtrics?
Qualtrics is a powerful online survey software platform designed to create, distribute, and analyze surveys. It provides a wide array of question types, custom survey flows, data security options, and integrated reporting tools to collect feedback and conduct research at scale.
How to Log In & Create Your Account
All Florida Atlantic University (FAU) administrators, faculty, staff, and students have full access to Qualtrics using their FAU Net ID and password.
- Go to https://fau.qualtrics.com/ in your web browser.
- Sign in using your FAU Net ID and password.
- If logging in for the first time, select "No, I don't have a preexisting account here."
- Click Sign In to view your account, then accept the Terms of Service to complete setup.
Getting Started & Building Surveys
To begin creating, customizing, and distributing your survey projects:
- Creating Projects: Build new surveys from scratch, copy existing projects, or use pre-designed templates via the Qualtrics Catalog.
- Survey Building & Workflow: For step-by-step instructions on designing questions, setting up logic, distributing survey links, and analyzing response data, refer to the official Qualtrics Getting Started Guide.
Institutional Note: If your survey involves human subjects research, you must obtain approval (or an exemption determination) from the FAU Institutional Review Board (IRB) prior to recruiting participants or distributing the survey. Ensure your survey flow includes an IRB-approved Informed Consent block and that sensitive participant data is appropriately anonymized in your survey settings.
