About FAUGuest
FAUGuest provides temporary internet access for campus visitors.
- Who should use it: Visitors and guests without an FAU account (FAUNet ID)
- Who should NOT use it: Students, Faculty, and Staff should use eduroam for a faster, more secure connection.
Connecting to FAUGuest
- Select the Network: Connect to fauguest from your device's Wi-Fi settings.
- Access the Portal: A login page should automatically pop up.
- If it doesn't appear, open your web browser and go to any website (e.g., fau.edu) to trigger the portal.
- Request Credentials: Click the link at the bottom: "Request Guest Login Credentials."

- Choose Delivery: Select how you want to receive your password:
- Text (SMS): Enter your 10-digit mobile number. *preferred
- Email: Enter a valid personal email address.
- Log In:
- * Username: Your 10-digit phone number (or email address).
- Password: Enter the temporary password sent to you. Accept & Connect: Review the terms and click Login.verify via SMS: Enter your 10-digit mobile number and click Send Text.
- Accept & Connect: Review the terms and click Login..
Important Information:
- Duration: Your guest account is valid for 72 hours. After it expires, you will need to request a new password.
- Capabilities: This network is designed for general web browsing and does not provide access to internal FAU resources (like library databases or private servers).
FAU Wireless Update
FAU is upgrading campus Wi‑Fi to improve speed and reliability. If your building is listed below, the steps to connect to FAUGuest will look slightly different. Please follow the on‑screen instructions provided by your device.
Updated Buildings: Breezeway, Alumni Center (94), Sanson Life Sciences (SC-1), Behavioral Sciences (BS-12), Computer Center (CM-22), Plant Growth Complex (PG-35), and Schmidt Family Complex (SF-107).
