To follow this guide, you must have already activated your FAU Zoom account. If you have not done this yet, please follow our first guide and then return here.

1. Install the Zoom Desktop App

  1. Go to the official Zoom Download Center: https://zoom.us/download
  2. In the first option, "Zoom Desktop Client," click the Download button.
  3. Once the download is complete, open the installer file and follow the on-screen instructions to install the application.

2. Sign In to the App with SSO (The Crucial Step)

This step connects the application to your FAU Pro account.

  1. Open the Zoom application on your computer.
  2. Do not enter your email and password in the main fields. Instead, click the button on the right that says Sign In with SSO. Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  3. The app will now ask for a "company domain." In the text box, type fau-edu and click Continue. Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  4. Your web browser will open and take you to the FAU login page. Sign in with your FAUNet ID and Password.
  5. After you sign in, your browser may ask for permission to open the Zoom application. Click Allow or Open Zoom Meetings.

You are now correctly signed into the desktop application. You can confirm this by clicking your profile icon in the top-right corner of the Zoom app. You should see your name with the word LICENSED next to it, confirming you have full Pro access.
