Essential In-Meeting Controls

Once you've joined the meeting, you'll see a toolbar at the bottom of the window. Here are the three most important controls you need to know.

  • Mute / Unmute Audio The Microphone icon on the far left controls your sound. Click it to toggle your microphone on and off.

    • Muted: The icon has a red line through it. No one in the meeting can hear you.
    • Unmuted: The icon is plain. Everyone can hear you.
    • Best Practice: It is good etiquette to keep your microphone muted unless you are actively speaking.
  • Start / Stop Video The Video Camera icon next to the microphone controls your webcam.

    • Video Off: The icon has a red line through it. Others will see your name or profile picture.
    • Video On: The icon is plain. Your live video feed is being shown to others.
  • Change Your View In the top-right corner, you will see a button labeled View. This changes how you see the other participants.

    • Speaker View: This view highlights the person who is currently speaking in a large window.
    • Gallery View: This view shows everyone in a grid of smaller windows (often called "Brady Bunch" mode). You can click the View button at any time to switch between these layouts.Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
