Installing Zoom Add-In for Outlook App

The Zoom for Outlook add-in allows you to manage scheduling within the Outlook web and desktop application. Once installed, it allows you to add a Zoom meeting to a new or existing Outlook calendar event.
Before you begin: Sign in with your FAU Zoom account when installing or using Zoom with Outlook.

Manually Deploy the Zoom Outlook Plugin

  1. Visit https://fau-edu.zoom.us/.
  2. Select Sign In and enter your FAU credentials.
  3. Select Meetings.
  4. Download the Microsoft Outlook Plugin, as shown below.

  1. Once the download is complete, run the file and follow the installation wizard to complete the installation.
  2. Restart Outlook before using the plugin.
  3. Launch the Outlook desktop application.
  4. Schedule a Meeting or Start Instant Meeting options should now be available in the main ribbon bar, as shown below.
Note: If you do not see these options in the main ribbon bar, check whether they appear after creating a new appointment or calendar event.

Sign In to the Zoom Outlook Plugin

  1. Select Sign in with SSO.

  1. Enter fau-edu as the company domain and select Continue.

  1. You will be redirected to enter your FAU credentials.
  2. You should now be signed in to the Zoom Microsoft Outlook Plugin.

Troubleshooting

  • If the Zoom options do not appear in the main ribbon bar, check whether they appear after creating a new appointment or calendar event.
  • Restart Outlook after installing the plugin.
  • When signing in, select SSO and use fau-edu as the company domain.
Please note: Zoom Outlook Extension is not functional for Outlook Application.
