Activate your FAUNet ID

What is your FAUNetID?

Your FAUNetID is the account name you use to log in to many of the systems you will utilize in your daily life at the University. It is part of your official FAU e-mail address (e.g., FAUNetID@fau.edu). FAU uses single sign-on for most applications. This means that you will use the same FAUNetID and password for most of the applications offered to you as a student, faculty member, and/or staff member.

If you are a new user, prior to logging in to any of FAU’s systems with your new FAUNetID, you must activate your FAUNetID by visiting the FAU Account Self-Services portal.

  • Faculty and staff FAUNetIDs are generated when the onboarding process has been completed within Workday. You will receive an e-mail notification with your FAUNetID and instructions on how to activate your account.
  • A student’s FAUNetID is generated upon admission to FAU. The FAUNetID is provided to you in your acceptance letter with instructions on how to activate your account.

 

During the activation process you will setup recovery options which include an alternative email address and SMS capable phone number. Please make sure that you have access to your personal email account when starting the activation process.
