What is your FAUNet ID?
Your FAUNet ID is unique identifier assigned to you by Florida Atlantic University. It is part of your official FAU email address (e.g., FAUNetID@fau.edu or FAUNetID@health.fau.edu). You will use your full FAU email address to sign in to most FAU services like Canvas, MYFAU, Workday, and other university systems.

When Do you Receive a FAUNet ID?
- Faculty and Staff: Your FAUNet ID is generated after your onboarding process completes in Workday. You will receive an email with your FAUNet ID and instructions for activation.
- Students: Your FAUNet ID is generated upon admission to FAU and included in your acceptance letter, along with activation instructions.
Activate your FAUNet ID
Before you can log in to any FAU system for the first time, you must activate your FAUNet ID by visiting the FAU Account Self-Services portal. During the activation process you will setup recovery options which include an alternative email address and SMS capable phone number. Please make sure that you have access to your personal email account when starting the activation process.
