Remove Personal Device From FAU's Device Management

Please make sure to back up your data!

If you do not have another local admin account, please create a new local user by following steps below. Otherwise, skip to the next section. 

1. Open Settings

2. Click Accounts

3. Click Other users.

4. Click Add account. This will pop up a Microsoft login window, but you can still bypass it and make the account local.

 

5. Click I don't have this person's sign-in information. Another Microsoft window will appear.

 

6. Click Add a user without a Microsoft account. This opens the "Create a user for this PC" window.

7. Enter this user's account information. Type a username for the person who needs to use the PC, then enter and confirm a password. You will also need to enter some security questions the user can use if they forget their password.

8. Click Next to create the local account.

Once all these steps have been taken, you can remove your device from your Intune and Work/School Account.

Reminder to back up your data!

1. Open Settings: 

2. Click on Accounts and select Access work or school.

3. Select the work or school account you wish to remove, and click Disconnect

4. Reboot the device, and you can now log in with the account you have created from the previous steps
