These instructions are intended to be used to setup Microsoft Authenticator push notifications while you already have a valid passkey method setup.
1. Open Microsoft Authenticator on the device with the existing Passkey
2. Click on your FAU e-mail address
3. Click “Update Security Information”
4. Your device's web browser will open to a Microsoft login portal. Please login and approve the passkey prompt.
5. Once logged in, you'll see the Microsoft Security page. If you are not on the "Security Info" screen, please click the hamburger stack and select "Security Info".
6. Once on the Security Info screen, select "add sign-in method", then select Microsoft Authenticator.
7. Click Next, then select "Pair your account to the app by clicking this link". Microsoft Authenticator will open and you'll now be able to receive push notifications to login.
