How to connect to FAUGuest WiFi

‘fauguest’ is intended for visitors to FAU who require temporary access to the FAU network. You will need a US Phone number that can receive SMS messages to use ‘fauguest’. If you are a student, faculty, or staff member at FAU, please use ‘eduroam’.

Connecting to fauguest Wireless

  1. Make sure Wifi is enabled on your device.
  2. Look for available Wifi networks on your device and join the fauguest wireless network.
  3. A captive portal window will appear, prompting you to enter your username and password.
  4. Click “Request Guest Login Credentials” at the bottom of the screen.

  5. In the box enter your 10-digit cell phone number that can receive text messages (standard text messaging rates apply) and click on “Send Text”.
  6. You will see a confirmation in red and be returned to the login window.
  7. You will receive a text message with your password (combination of numbers and mixed-case letters). It will also show an expiry date for the credentials.                                                                                                                                      
  8. Use your 10-digit phone number as your username and the password you received via the text message                                                   
  9. You will now be connected to the fauguest wireless network. You will be able to connect to the network for up to 72 hours after receiving your login information.
