Google Chat and Hangouts is available for all students, faculty, and staff. There is no global address book/ contacts search due to FERPA protecting students information. As such, in order to chat with someone you either needed to communicated with them prior via Owl Mail, or will first need to add them as a contact in Google. To add as a contact in Google, simple login, click on the apps tile, and go to the contacts app. You just need to enter a name and email address and they will now be available to search in the Chat and Hangouts Apps.
