If you are an alumni/ no longer work with the university you do not have access to install the free Microsoft Office Package.
If you are a current student and receive the error message " Subscription Expired. Your subscription has expired you will need to renew it. The error code is: 0xD00000001C."
In order to resolve this on a Mac:
1) Select the apple icon in the top left
2) Select System Preferences
3) Sharing > Make sure your computer name does not have any invalid characters (Ex: ')
4) Download and run this link to remove any old key chain entries interfering with this activation
5) Restart your device and open any Microsoft application
In order to resolve this issue on a Windows:
1) In the search bar on the bottom left in the task bar type: uninstall (Add and Remove Programs should appear)
2) Select Add and Remove Programs
3) Scroll down to Microsoft Office and select it
4) Select Modify
5) The Microsoft Setup Bootstrapper will load
6) Select repair and let it progress through, once that completes restart your device and open any Microsoft application afterwards
If you are prompted with a different error code, try inputting it in Google to see the exact issue with the software and follow the steps given.
