Once you have:
Received VPN access, request access
here
if you haven't already.
Enabled Remote Desktop on your desktop computer, instructions available
here
Installed the Fortinet client on the laptop or home computer you will be using to connect with, instructions available
here
You
MUST
be connected to Fortinet prior to proceeding.
Look up your office Computer Host Name.
To find this:
In the bottom left hand corner where it says "Type here to search": enter "About your PC". The full device name will need to be entered for the computer in the remote desktop connection.
On your laptop/home computer/desktop, type Remote Desktop Connection in the search to open Remote Desktop Connection:
Type in the full device name (.ad.fau.edu is required) and then connect. A box will come up to prompt you for your credentials, enter FAU\username and password > connect.
