Enable Remote Desktop on your Computer

Step 1: Enable Remote Desktop using Control Panel

  1. Open Control Panel.
  2. Click on System and Security.
  3. Under the “System” section, click the Allow remote access link. ...  
  4. Under the “Remote Desktop” section, select the Allow remote connections to this computer option. ...
  5. Click the Apply button.
  6. Click the OK button.

 

Step 2: Enable Remote Desktop through Firewall

  1. Open Control Panel.
  2. Click on System and Security.
  3. Click on Allow an app through Windows Firewall:

  5. Click Change settings
  6. Scroll down to Remote Desktop and check all 3 options: Domain, Private, Public:
  7. Click OK at bottom.
