When trying to log in, you received an error message stating your account is blocked due to suspicious activity.
What the Error Looks Like
You see an error message similar to this: 
How to Fix This Issue
- Go to accounts.fau.edu.
- Select "Forgot Your Password".
- Complete the password reset process.
- Wait 5-10 minutes for Microsoft systems to sync.
- Try signing in again.
What This Error Means
Microsoft's security system detected unusual or risky log in behavior on your account.
Common triggers include:
- Repeated failed log in attempts
- Log in attempts from unusual locations
- Any sign-in behavior that Microsoft flags as risky
This block is automatically placed by Microsoft — and requires a password reset to clear.
Important Notes:
- Resetting your password is required, even if you know it's correct.
- This solution only works for this Microsoft error message.
