How can I change or reset my FAUNetID password?
Solution
If you have forgotten your password or are unable to log in to your email, campus computers, Canvas, or other services that use your FAUNet ID, there are several options for resetting your FAUNetID password.
First Option: Known Password
Use this option if your FAUNetID password has expired but you still know the password.

In a web browser, go to https://accounts.fau.edu

Click on “Manage Your Account”

Log in with your FAUNetID (the first part of your FAU email address) and your password

Click "Change Password" and the Continue button
Second Option: Password Not Working
Use this option if the first option does not work.
There are two options for recovering your password: temporary passcode via SMS text message, or temporary passcode via an alternate email.

In a web browser, go to https://accounts.fau.edu

Click on “Forgot Your Password"

Enter your FAUNetID, and check the box "I'm not a robot"

Follow the prompts to reset your password
To use SMS text or alternate email recovery, you must have set those up prior to forgetting your password.
Third Option: Reset with Help Desk assistance
Use this option if you do not have recovery options available.
