Connecting Audio Devices to Microsoft Teams Phone

FAU offers a variety of equipment options, including Microsoft Teams-certified desk phones (by approval). For enhanced personal flexibility, you can connect with peers and colleagues through Microsoft Teams using any headset or personal device you already use with Microsoft Teams.

FAU supports Microsoft Teams-certified desk phones for specific needs, such as:

  • Shared phone lines
  • Reception areas
  • Call Centers
  • Locations requiring security compliance

 

Set Up Your Audio Device

Manage Audio Settings:

  1. Sign into Teams.
  2. Click the three dots (ellipsis menu) next to your profile picture to navigate to Settings.
  3. In the Settings menu, choose Devices.
  4. Select your preferred speaker and microphone from the drop-down menus.
  5. To ensure your audio devices are working correctly, select the Make a test call button.

Connecting Bluetooth Audio Devices on Windows:

  1. Turn on your Bluetooth audio device and put it in pairing mode.
  2. Open the Start menu and go to Settings or type in "settings" into your taskbar search bar.
  3. Select Bluetooth & devices.
  4. Turn on Bluetooth if it’s not already on.
  5. Click Add device and select the kind of device you want to add.
  6. Choose your audio device from the list of available devices.
  7. Follow any additional on-screen instructions to complete the pairing process.

Connecting Bluetooth Audio Devices on Mac:

  1. Turn on your Bluetooth audio device and put it in pairing mode.
  2. Open System Preferences from the Finder menu.
  3. Click on Bluetooth.
  4. Turn on Bluetooth if it’s not already on.
  5. Your audio device should appear in the list of available devices. Click Pair next to the device.
  6. Follow any additional on-screen instructions to complete the pairing process.
