About fau
The fau wireless network is specifically designed for devices that cannot support the higher security requirements of eduroam.
- Who should use it: Users connecting Media Streaming devices (Apple TV, Roku, FireStick), Gaming Consoles (PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo), and Smart TVs.
- Who should NOT use it: Students, Faculty, and Staff using laptops, tablets, or smartphones should use eduroam for a faster, encrypted, and more reliable connection.
- How it works: Access is granted via a one-time MAC address registration through the Talon Network Device Registration System.
